This week’s Just Been Sealed showcases a couple of Eldar models. My Eldar army consists of “old school” models almost exclusively as I prefer the old Jes scuplts (and have been adding units to this army since 1991).
The first model is a conversion of the original Dire Avenger Exarch. The two shuriken catapult arms have been added from the newest Dire Avenger set for a fairly simple and straight-forward conversion.
The second model is a War Walker painted in my Craftworld colors of turquoise and orange. This is the first model of my second War Walker squadron.

I have been hard at work over the last week. I finished up Gunnery Sergeant Harker and two platoon command squads (more pictures at the end of this post).
I wanted to talk about my plans for the army going forward. Here is a list of what I have painted so far:

A bit about myself. I’m older than most people think. I started playing 40K when it was invented, I was actually playing other things when 40K came along and stole my time from then on.

Here is a step by step guide showing how to paint an Imperial Guard Penal Legion trooper.

We all anticipate our new codex with a mixture of hope and dread. Will our favorite units and characters perform the same? Will our conversions and unit compositions still be valid? Like many I followed all the rumor sites to see what was in store for my favorite army. When I first read through Codex: Imperial Guard I noted the changes, some of which I liked and some I didn’t. Below are some of the changes I think are worth noting, whether I like them or not, and why. Over the coming weeks I will test my first impressions of the changes and how they play out on the table.

Hi all,
While I was working on my two platoon command squads I also cleaned and primed my next project, which is a squad of hardened veterans and gunnery sergeant Harker. After seeing the model I really wanted to paint up Harker. So I set aside the command squads and the rest is history. . .
I can hear you now, “Goat you are crazy. There is no model for gunnery sergeant Harker. Where did you buy him? The same place Jack bought his beanstalk beans?”

I’m at a crossroads.
I’ve just started Imperial Guard and I have a problem. Here it is in a nutshell: Do you paint squad markings on your guardsmen?

Step One:

Clean all seam lines from the Autarch and jetbike.
Assemble the jetbike except for the hood. Do not use the banner pole that comes with the jetbike.

My next project is going to be the creation of an Eldar Autarch on a jetbike with a Reaper Launcher, which I will document here in case anyone would like to convert this model.
A little background first: my Eldar are almost finished, I only have a few units left, mostly Apocalypse Datasheet configurations.
